Making GDS reservations on the UI chain code

Group bookings on the GDS
A single travel agency can make multiple bookings for one hotel for the same arrival date as long as each booking does not exceed
- A maximum of 3 rooms for properties up to 99 rooms.
- A maximum of 4 rooms for properties between 100 - 199 rooms.
- A maximum of 5 rooms for properties with 200 or more rooms.
Any group bookings exceeding the maximum number of rooms listed above need to be arranged through one of our Customer support offices. Any bookings received at a property that do not adhere to this policy may not be honoured.
Cancellation of a booking made via the GDS
If the reservation was made via any of the GDSs, then you should cancel it via that GDS and the following steps need to be taken:
Step 1: For each cancellation you will need to retrieve the booking first by pulling up the GDS Passenger Name Record (PNR) or record locator which is prefixed with an asterisk (*) for Sabre, Worldspan and Galileo or RT for Amadeus. To locate the segment you wish to cancel simply look for the unique confirmation number you were given at the time the booking was made.
Step 2: Then to cancel the booking the following needs to be applied:
- Amadeus:
XE and then the segment number
ET to end the transaction - Galileo Apollo:
X and then the segment number
R followed by their initials
E to end the transaction - Sabre/Abacus/Axess:
X and then the segment number
6 followed by their initials
E to end the transaction - Worldspan:
X and then the segment number
E to end the transaction
