Utell NYC Showcase Thursday, October 8 at the Providence Club Introduces Novel Approach to Hotel/Agent Relations
Leading hotel representation and marketing group Utell® Hotels & Resorts will bring top New York City travel professionals and a selection of properties from Utell’s global portfolio together through “speed-dating” this Thursday, October 8, at the famed Providence Club in midtown Manhattan.
The Utell NYC Showcase will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and will allow hoteliers with tablet PCs to “work the room” and introduce themselves and their properties to the agents in attendance.
“It’s meant to be an informal introduction of the amenities and uniqueness of each property, without the sales pressure often found at other such events,” said John Owens, vice president sales and account management, Utell Hotels & Resorts. “While we don’t actually ring a bell to signal that it’s time to switch, Utell staff will serve as facilitators, ensuring hotels move along progressively. Of course, those attendees that ‘hit it off’, are welcome to spend more time together, share contact information and set up future meetings.”
Utell staged a similar event in Frankfurt, Germany this summer to an overwhelming response from both hotels and agents. “Agents loved it because they got a chance to check out unique properties in a relaxing setting, while hotels were particularly excited about showcasing their properties to such a relevant audience,” added Owens.
Unique hotel properties from destinations such as New York; Washington D.C.; Los Angeles; Philadelphia; Tempe , Ariz.; Toronto; Rome; Dublin; United Arab Emirates; Rio de Janiero and Palermo, Italy are expected to attend.
The Providence is a landmark location in New York City. Originally, the Manhattan Baptist Church, it later became the home to world-famous Media Sound Studios, and eventually the hip ‘90s nightlife hot spot, Le Bar Bat.
